looking for the Data Center Technician / Field Engineer for the smart hand support to work in the Data center on shift with below details responsibilities .

Preferably Holding a CCNA certification.

OS installation and troubleshooting

Provide support and administration services for all installed hardware with customer remote supervision including
Patches for server hardware firmware.
Updates to server hardware firmware.
Manage and liaise with related entities in the process.
Perform a periodic health check on all hardware.
Physical Network (Layer 1) setup and configuration
Installation of cabling (Fiber and Copper) Limited to 1 – 5 Meter
Any plugin & plug out of physical network cable with customer supervision and guidance. (The is not liable for any miss Configuration, Service unavailability, Outage, or Data Loss Triggered due to this request).
Troubleshoot Cabling problems with in the area of Co-Location
Deployment of colocation equipment and cabling
Showing customer/vendor to their respective Colocation reserved space to deploy the Racks/equipment. (The is not liable for any miss Configuration, Service unavailability, Outage, or Data Loss Triggered due to this request).
Shall administer the cable and patch panel under customer supervision to resolve problems or reconfigure the LAN
Coordination with IFM team to follow all the related processes
Test new cables for any fault or loose of Dusty connection.
Assist Customer/third party installation team in the installation / replacement of the equipment if required
Basic IT support, to run the infrastructure

To do Physical switch ON/OFF devices with customer supervision and guidance. (The is not liable for any miss Configuration, Service unavailability, Outage, or Data Loss Triggered due to this request).
Physical Plug in & Plug out network/power cables with customer supervision and guidance. (The is not liable for any miss Configuration, Service unavailability, Outage, or Data Loss Triggered due to this request.
Visual monitoring of device LEDs to communicate customer on instance basis with customer supervision and guidance. (The is not liable for any miss Configuration, Service unavailability, Outage, or Data Loss Triggered due to this request).
Conduct Periodic Preventive Maintenance and submit Report.
Where installation / De-installation has been required and confirmed by The Customer, the
Smart hand support shall be responsible for the complete set of associated works
in line with Health and Safety requirement, and shall liaison with appropriate teams within
The Customer to this effect.
The smart hand team shall assist installation / third party team for all LAN changes in accordance with the procedures in place, updating the relevant documentations to reflect the changes, and informing customer ofthe impact of the change.
The smart hand team shall coordinate the resolution of faults during installation and commissioning.
Where works may be carried out by Third Parties appointed by The Customer, the
Smart hand team shall have the responsibility to provide an efficient service
interface for the successful end delivery of the works
Pushing a button or toggling a switch to power cycle equipment
Follow Customer Direction and Ensure Hotline Availability for needed Circuit.
Coordinate the Replacement of hot-swappable HDDs and redundant power supplies with the third party teams.
Administered Power cycle Management and soft booting under customer supervision
Provide visual verification to assist customer’s remote troubleshooting efforts
Follow Customer Direction and Ensure Hotline Availability for needed Circuit.
To ensuring that all remote access is via VPN or other secure links.
Smart hand Engineer will be expected to manage the day to day relationship with

Assist in managing any assets sent for repair or replacement
Relay equipment status
Follow Customer Direction and Ensure Hotline Availability for needed Circuit.
Communicate the equipment status as per the direction of the Customer relating to Power, network connectivity, Fault condition if any and reading the LEDs or other visual indicators.
Provide a report in the provided template or check list to communicate the equipment status.

Move or secure cables
To move & secure network/power cables within customer reserved space with customer supervision and guidance limited to maximum of 15 Meters.
Coordinate Installation of structured cabling, floor outlets and data points
Type client commands
Follow Customer Direction and Ensure Hotline Availability for needed Circuit.
Understand and align with customer about the activity or procedure to be executed on the equipment and carefully provide the responses to the customer team on the remote side.
Maintain high degree of connectivity and presence throughout the process.
Ensure possessing all the tools 24x7x365.

Install replacement or new equipment
Installation of drop leads, patch cords, fiber patch cords for the connection of equipment and any other network peripheral
Installation of Network Interface Cards (NICs) and modems to networked equipment

Label equipment or cables
Execute dressing & labeling of communications and power cables.
Scanning in of equipment Asset Tags and keep updated inventory
Cleaning of customer Space if required during the process of labelling

Opening TCN / MDT for Co-Located Customer and follow up
To raise the change request for the related TCN/MDT and following up with the management approval hierarchy, and finally with CAB to be prepared to provide the
